windows 10 boot/BCD error: 0×c00000d

If the Boot Configuration Data (BCD) store is missing, becomes corrupted, or isn't properly configured, Windows won't be able to start and you'll see BOOTMGR is Missing or similar error messages early on in the boot process.

The easiest solution to a BCD issue is to simply rebuild it, which you can do automatically with the bootrec command.

Yes, there are several commands to run and lots of output on the screen, but rebuilding the BCD is a very straightforward process. Just follow the instructions exactly and you'll be fine.

Important: The following instructions apply to Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista. Similar problems can exist in Windows XP but since boot configuration information is stored in the boot.ini file, and not the BCD, correcting issues with boot data involves a completely different process.

How To Rebuild the BCD in Windows

  1. 1.Start Advanced Startup Options in Windows 10 or Windows 8.

2.Start System Recovery Options if you're using Windows 7 or Windows Vista.

  2. Note: The Command Prompt available from these diagnostic menus is very similar to the one you may be familiar with within Windows. Also, the following procedure should work identically in Windows 10, 8, 7, and Vista.

  3. 3.At the prompt, type the bootrec command as shown below and then press Enter:
  4. bootrec /rebuildbcd
  5. The bootrec command will search for Windows installations not included in the Boot Configuration Data and then ask you if you'd like to add one or more to it.
  6.
  7. 4.You should see one of the following messages at the command line.
  8. Open Command Prompt from Advanced Startup Options or System Recovery Options menu.

    1. Option 1
Scanning all disks for Windows installations. Please wait, since this may take a while... Successfully scanned Windows installations. Total identified Windows installations: 0 The operation completed successfully.
      Option 2
Scanning all disks for Windows installations. Please wait, since this may take a while... Successfully scanned Windows installations. Total identified Windows installations: 1 [1] D:\Windows Add installation to boot list? Yes<Y>/No<N>/All<A>:
      If you see:

Option 1: Move on to Step 5. This result most likely means that Windows installation data in the BCD store exists but bootrec couldn't find any additional installations of Windows on your computer to add to the BCD. That's fine, you'll just need to take a few extra steps to rebuild the BCD.

Option 2: Enter Y or Yes to the Add installation to boot list? question, after which you should see a The operation completed successfully message, followed by a blinking cursor at the prompt. Finish up with Step 10 toward the bottom of the page.

    1. Since the BCD store exists and lists a Windows installation, you'll first have to "remove" it manually and then try to rebuild it again.

At the prompt, execute the bcdedit command as shown and then press Enter:
      bcdedit /export c:\bcdbackup
The bcdedit command is used here to export the BCD store as a file: bcdbackup. There's no need to specify a file extension.

The command should return the following on screen:
      The operation completed successfully.
meaning the BCD export worked as expected.

    2. At this point, you need to adjust several file attributes for the BCD store so you can manipulate it.

At the prompt, execute the attrib command exactly like this:
      attrib c:\boot\bcd -h -r -s
What you just did with the attrib command was remove the hidden, read-only, and systemattributes from the file bcd. Those attributes restricted the actions you could take on the file. Now that they're gone, you can manipulate the file more freely - specifically, rename it.

    3. To rename the BCD store, execute the ren command as shown:
      ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.old
Now that the BCD store is renamed, you should now be able to successfully rebuild it, as you tried to do in Step 3.

Note: You could delete the BCD file entirely since you're about to create a new one. However, renaming the existing BCD accomplishes the same thing since it's now unavailable to Windows, plus provides you yet another layer of backup, in addition to the export you did in Step 5, if you decide to undo your actions.

    4. Try rebuilding the BCD again by executing the following, followed by Enter:
      bootrec /rebuildbcd
which should produce this in the Command Prompt window:
Scanning all disks for Windows installations. Please wait, since this may take a while... Successfully scanned Windows installations. Total identified Windows installations: 1 [1] D:\Windows Add installation to boot list? Yes<Y>/No<N>/All<A>:
meaning that the BCD store rebuild is progressing as expected.

    5. At the Add installation to boot list? question, type Enter Y or Yes, followed by the Enterkey.

You should see this on screen:
      The operation completed successfully.
meaning that the BCD rebuild is complete.

    6. Restart your computer.

Assuming that an issue with the BCD store was the only problem, Windows should start as expected.

If not, continue to troubleshoot whatever specific issue you're seeing that's preventing Windows from booting normally.

Important: Depending on how you started Advanced Startup Options or System Recovery Options, you may need to remove a disc or flash drive before restarting.

Fill A Photo With More Photos In Photoshop..............

In this Photoshop tutorial, I’ll show you how to use A Photo With More Photos Technique in Photoshop to gather together a collection of images, place them all on one document and then blend them into a main image so they show through.
Final Image Preview

Take a look at the image we’ll be creating. You can view the final image preview below or a larger version here.(download 43mb full size image,)
rahul meena

Step 1
The first step is to create a folder in which to place all the images you want to use as the background .
make sure

you put duplicates of the originals in here. Then we’ll create an action, open up one of the images and then select Window

> Actions. Click the action menu at the top right of the palette and select New Action.

Step 2

When this window appears, click Record and all your movements will now be recorded.

Step 3
Go to Images > Image Size and uncheck Constrain Proportions, but check Resample Image. Type 1cm in Width an Height fields

and make the resolution 200ppi. Click OK and then save the image. Close the window. Now click the gray square at the

bottom of the Actions palette to stop recording.

Step 4
Now turn an action into a droplet. Go to File > Automate and select Create Droplet. Hit the Choose button to set a save

destination for the droplet, pick the resizing action you’ve just created from the Action pull-down menu and click OK.

Step 5

Go back to the file of photos you selected earlier and then highlight them all. Now drag them over to the droplet icon to

be converted into 1cm x 1cm squares. It will take a while.

Step 6
Once the image are all converted, it will be time to put together the background mosaic. This is done using the Contact

Sheet II Photoshop plug-in. If you are working in Photoshop CS4, you need to download and install the plug-in. Here are

To get it going, pop over to File > Automate > Contact Sheet II.
Contact Sheet II needs to know which photograph to turn into a contact sheet, so hit Browse and navigate to where they

are. Once you have selected the photos to be converted, move down to the Document area and type in your measurement. I

used 1280px by 800px at 200ppi, but you can set your own. Make sure Flatten All Layers is ticked. Now enter how many

columns (across) and rows (down) you need. Because our photos are 1cm squared, this is a straight one-to-one ratio. Tick

the Rotate For The Best Fit box and then put 0 in the Vertical and Horizontal areas. This will ensure there are no gaps in

the sheet. Hit OK to create the sheet.

Step 7
Contact Sheet will present a small thumbnail giving you an idea of how its looks. It will also tell you how many

photographs you have in your chosen source images folder. If you haven’t enough photos to fill the space, copy and paste a

section to fill the document.

Step 8
Open your main image, select all and then copy and paste into your contact sheet.  And you’ve done.

50 Windows 8 Keyboard Shortcuts You Should Know........

Windows 8 is the latest offering from Microsoft and has reinvented itself as an operating system for both tablet and PC users. While touchscreen users can take advantage of the many navigational rewrites e.g. the Charms Menu, Metro UI with tiles, and swipes, Microsoft has also done their part to ensure that users who prefer getting around with the keyboard would not be left out.

To cater to this group, Microsoft has integrated new keyboard shortcuts to let them navigate through the reconstructed OS faster and easier. And as much fun as touchscreens can be, sometimes you can do more with keyboard shortcuts than you can with swipes. Besides, if you are part of the keyboard generation, shortcuts just come more naturally anyways.
Read on for 50 keyboard shortcuts that you’d probably find yourself using on Windows 8, when out of swipe mode.
